Details for Teachers

The Mercy Foundation is excited to announce the 2025 Peace Through Art Competition.  This year we invite secondary students to creatively express their vision of peace. This competition encourages young artists to explore what peace means to them—whether it’s harmony within their communities, global unity, or inner tranquility. Through their artistic talents, students can convey messages of understanding, compassion, and hope for a more peaceful world.

1. Introduction

The Mercy Foundation Youth Awards is a competition open to high school students across Australia from Years 7 – 12. Each year, the Mercy Youth Awards encourages students to gain an understanding of social justice issues in Australia and how we can work to address these issues. This year our focus is about Peace. You might incorporate the competition into the syllabus in English, Art and RE Studies.
